TRT Classes

For the last several months, firefighters from Firehouse 11, 19, 20, 26, 48, and 51 have been taking classes to obtain their TRT(Technical Rescue Technician) Certification. Miami Dade Fire Rescue has 3 TRT Aerials and 1 Heavy Rescue Truck. They respond to calls ranging from High Angle Rescue, persons trapped in a trench, and building collapse. After all is said and done these firefighters will have taken  360 hrs of training. Rope Op's and Tech, Confined Space Op's and Tech, Trench Rescue Tech, Vehicle and Machinery Extrication Op's and Tech, and Structure Collapse Op's and Tech is the course load.
